Kuelap, called the other Machu Picchu, is located very close to Chachapoyas. It is one of the most representative archaeological sites in the lower montane forest of Peru. Gocta Waterfall is a place everyone should visit, not only to see the huge waterfall, but also to experience a pleasant hike along this spectacular scenery.

Start your day with a transfer from your hotel in Chachapoyas to the beginning of the trail leading to Gocta Waterfall. Enjoy a hike of approximately 2 to 3 hours through diverse landscapes, including cloud forests and agricultural areas. Upon arrival, admire the impressive waterfall, which stands about 771 meters tall. Have time to explore and take photos. Finally, return to the starting point and are transferred back to your hotel in Chachapoyas.

Be amazed by one of the world's greatest waterfalls called Gocta. Immerse in this adventure and access to one of the highest falls in the world, 771m high (2,530 feet), by a 6-hour hiking or horseback ride through a path in which we will able to feel the nature and have many opportunities to take pictures of the Gocta falls from different angles. Take a fresh shower from the waterfall’s spray, hear its roar and sense the mist of the falls. You can not miss this unique experience!

During the morning you will travel through the Chachapoyas forest for about an hour in direction of the Sarcophagi of Karajía. These sarcophagi are elaborate two-meter high clay sculptures that rest on the edge of a rocky cliff of limestone, looking towards the abyss. The visit in the place will last approximately 40 minutes after which you will head back to Chachapoyas.
