Traveling by electric bike is an incredibly fun and safe way to cover a lot of ground and take in some stunning views at the same time. While we do ask our guests to pedal a bit, it is the electric bike that does most all of the work. This allows us to soak up the beautiful scenery around us. We will also be visiting some areas that most tourist are not familiar with. And of course, we will learn a bit about Bend and the Deschutes River along the way!

Join us for an epic subterranean adventure deep below the Earth’s surface! Bend is home to a vast amount of lava tube cave networks, that were formed thousands of years ago by volcanic activity. During our two hours underground in the darkest, quietest spot the Earth can provide, our naturalist guides will impart their vast knowledge of the region's geology while we adventure through this incredible cave system. Wanderlust Tours is the only guide company permitted in these lava caves. These caves are wild caves, meaning there is no paved path or lighting. Wanderlust Tours will outfit your group with helmets and headlamps. We also recommend wearing hiking boots or sturdy shoes to help navigate the uneven, rocky terrain as well as a fleece jacket and jeans as the caves stay at 45 degrees Fahrenheit year round! This is the one and only Original Alpaca Picnic Experience. While shooting for Quechua Benefit, a nonprofit supporting economic benefits for underserved communities in the Peruvian highlands, professional travel, nature & humanitarian photographer Wasim Muklashy met Amanda Vandenbosch, one of the world's premiere alpaca breeders & Peru-trained alpaca judges. That encounter blossomed into a friendship which led to his living & working at Flying Dutchman Alpacas, Amanda's family farm in Bend, OR during part of the pandemic year. Taking their morning coffee & lunch in the alpaca pasture was pure therapy & they both realized that if these floofs were therapeutic to them, they'd be therapeutic to ALL. So here they are, offering an experience with a group of floofs guaranteed to put smiles on the faces of those in the foulest of moods. There is no other activity that will give you this level of time, experience, education and interaction with the magical creatures that are the alpaca.
