This is a charming town where you can take a quick break and stretch your legs.

Whale Watching cruises operate around the world-famous Dyer Island where you may be fortunate enough to see the Marine Big 5 namely the Southern Right, Humpback, Bryde’s Whales & Great White Sharks. You will also see Cape Fur Seals, the endangered African Penguin and various visiting dolphin species. This is also home to a variety of seabirds. The Southern Right Whale Season is normally from June – December. There is an on-board Marine biologist and crew who offer an educational, life-changing experience. Upon arrival coffee/tea & muffins are served while listening to a dedicated safety and conservation briefing. Safety jackets and wet weather gear are provided. After the trip, guests return for warm soup and bread followed by a debriefing. A free visit to the African Penguin and Seabirds Sanctuary is also included. In Hermanus you can explore the walkway and curio craft market or have a snack to eat, before heading back to Cape Town.
