A small fee can be paid to cross the harbour by rowing ferry from the Nothe Gardens or Weymouth Pavilion. This is not essential but can help save time walking back to the town bridge.

The tour starts at Weymouth Town Bridge where you can choose to go south or north. From this location we can also assist with any questions at the start of the tour and ensure you have everything you need to enjoy the experience.

Due to its harbour side location, the forecourt of Weymouth Pavilion was in active use during World War Two, specifically for the launching of British and US Army forces travelling to undertake the D-Day landings in Northern France.

King's Statue
King George the Third was Weymouth's most famous visitor in the 17th century. His presence helped greatly to establish Weymouth as a popular tourist destination, principally for the healing treatment of bathing in the sea.
In his honour a grand stature of His Royal Highness remains on the sea front next to his bathing carriage.
