We’ll visit Galería de Arte Mexicano, one of Mexico’s most historic and influential galleries, founded in 1935 and widely recognized for its role in shaping the country’s modern and contemporary art scene. The gallery has exhibited many of Mexico’s most important artists while continuing to support new generations, creating a dialogue between artistic legacy and current practice. Having curated an exhibition here in 2024 for an English sculptor, I share a close connection with the space, offering a more personal perspective as we experience the gallery together.

We’ll also visit Kurimanzutto, one of Mexico City’s most internationally recognized contemporary art galleries. Founded in 1999, the gallery is known for representing influential artists whose work has shaped contemporary art both in Mexico and globally. Its program emphasizes experimentation and ambitious exhibitions, often transforming the space through large-scale installations and concept-driven projects, making each visit a unique experience.

We’ll visit Galería Patricia Conde, a gallery dedicated to contemporary photography and image-based practices. Known for its strong curatorial vision, the space showcases both established and emerging artists whose work explores documentary, conceptual, and experimental approaches to photography. The gallery has become an important platform for understanding the role of photography within Mexico’s contemporary art scene.

We’ll visit Adhesivo Contemporary, an independent contemporary art space focused on emerging artists and experimental practices. The gallery presents rotating exhibitions that highlight new perspectives and current artistic production, offering a closer look at younger voices working in Mexico City today.

We’ll visit Galería RGR, a contemporary gallery known for presenting artists whose work engages with architecture, design, and conceptual practices. The gallery’s program brings together Mexican and international artists, creating exhibitions that explore the relationship between space, material, and contemporary artistic ideas.

We’ll visit Galería Enrique Guerrero, a contemporary gallery known for its strong curatorial program and for representing influential Mexican and international artists. The gallery presents exhibitions across painting, sculpture, and installation, highlighting diverse approaches within contemporary art and maintaining an important presence in Mexico City’s gallery scene.
