Starting the day, to go to Gjirokastër is approximately 2.5-3 hours of driving, with a stop in Tepelenë, near the shores of Vjosa River, one of the LAST Wild Rivers in Europe. Even oil goes untouched here. Enjoy a cold drink or a morning coffee before we go again. Next stop, Gjirokaster Castle (Fortress). Expect breathtaking inside views of the fortress, which is located on the highest point of the Old Town, providing a strategic defence location offering WOW views of the city, mountains and valleys sourrounding it.
