After exploring the charming town, your tour moves to the Franschhoek Wine Tram terminal for an exclusive, luxury wine tram experience. Your expert guide will provide your tram tickets and personalized instructions on how to navigate the tram’s timetable and routes. The scenic tram journey, usually around 8 minutes between stops, offers you the freedom to hop off at two carefully selected premium farms, with the possibility of a third visit if time allows. Departing from Franschhoek, we arrive at Groot Drakenstein Prison - formerly Victor Verster prison. Here we will take a unique photo with the monument of former president Nelson Mandela. (Please note that we are not allowed to enter into the prison.) This is where Nelson Mandela spent his last 2 years of his 27 year imprisonment as a political prisoner.
