Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal is one of the finest examples of Mughal architecture, a style that combines different elements from Indian, as Persian and Islamic architectural styles. It was built by Emperor Shah Jahan as a memorial, to house the tomb of his favorite wife Mumtaz Mahal. The tomb is the centerpiece, but the 42-acre site also contains a mosque and a guest house, as well as huge formal gardens.
You can arrive at the great Taj Majal at whatever time best suits you. It is open from sunrise to sunset every day except on Fridays.
