For us, snowshoeing isn’t about rushing to the top. It’s about getting outside, enjoying the winter landscape and having a good time along the way. We keep our groups small, choose the route based on the best conditions that day, and take time for photos, stories and a cozy break around the fire with something warm to drink.
You’ll explore Lofoten with a local guide who knows the area – at a relaxed pace and with plenty of time to simply enjoy being out in the snow.

Transportation from our office in Kabelvåg to and from the starting point
Meet us at our Hooked on Lofoten office at Sjøgata 3 in Kabelvåg. Look for the Hooked on Lofoten flag outside the entrance - your guide will be there waiting for you.
We meet at our Hooked on Lofoten office in Kabelvåg, where you’ll meet your guide and the rest of the group. From here, we get into our van and drive together to the starting point of the day’s snowshoe hike. The drive is short, usually no more than 10–15 minutes and often less.

Once we arrive, your guide will help you put on the snowshoes and give you a quick introduction before we set off. We hike through the snowy landscape towards a beautiful viewpoint, with the route chosen according to the conditions that day.
Along the way, we stop for a cozy break and, when conditions allow, light a small campfire. Warm up with a cup of hot chocolate, tea or coffee before putting the snowshoes back on and making our way back to the van.
