Then the audio guide takes over: eleven short stops, in walking order, from the square outside to the bronze doors, the dome and its open oculus, the original marble floor, Raphael's tomb, and the tombs of Italy's first kings. Eleven short stops walk you through the building in order: the square outside, the portico and its single-block granite columns, the ancient bronze doors, the dome and its open oculus, the original marble floor, Raphael's tomb, and the tombs of Italy's first kings.
