يُعد معبد وات ماهاثات أحد أقدم وأهم المعابد في تاريخ أيوثايا، وقد شُيّد في أواخر القرن الرابع عشر. يشتهر هذا المعبد بآثاره المقدسة العظيمة للسيد بوذا التي كانت محفوظةً في برج برانغ المركزي، ويُعدّ موقع رأس بوذا المصنوع من الحجر الرملي والمُغروس في جذر الشجرة أبرز معالم مقاطعة أيوثايا.

يعد معبد وات فرا سري سانفيت مشهورًا عالميًا لأنه مدرج ضمن مواقع التراث العالمي التي اعترفت بها اليونسكو في عام ١٩٩١ وكان أهم معبد في العصر الذهبي لمملكة أيوثايا حيث كان الكنيسة الملكية للقصر المستخدم للوظائف الدينية لملوك أيوثايا ويعتبر النموذج المعماري لمعبد بوذا الزمردي في بانكوك

يقع فيهارا فرا مونغخون بوفيت جنوب معبد وات فرا سري سانفيت. ويُعتقد أن تمثال بوذا البرونزي، فرا مونغخون بوفيت، الموجود داخل القاعة يعود تاريخه إلى القرن الخامس عشر. يبلغ ارتفاع التمثال ١٢.٤٥ مترًا وعرضه ٩.٥٥ مترًا عند امتداده.
