8:30 AM — Departure from Beirut
Your guide meets the group at your hotel and heads north — coastal highway to mountain road, the landscape shifting dramatically as you climb toward the Qadisha Valley.

وادي قاديشا
Qadisha Valley — UNESCO World Heritage gorge
Pull over at the rim and take in the full scale of it — sheer limestone walls dropping hundreds of metres to the valley floor, dotted with ancient monastery caves carved into the rock face over seventeen centuries. Qadisha means "Holy" in Aramaic. Your guide explains who lived here, why they chose these inaccessible cliffs, and what they left behind. Multiple photo stops along the rim.

Bcharre — Gibran's village
A brief pass through Bcharre — the mountain village that shaped everything Khalil Gibran ever wrote — before arriving at the museum.

متحف جبران
Khalil Gibran Museum — The Prophet's author, in his own words
Housed in a former Carmelite monastery carved into the cliff above Bcharre — the museum holds Gibran's original oil paintings, watercolours, and personal manuscripts. The Prophet has sold over 100 million copies in more than 100 languages. His tomb is in the cave chapel at the heart of the building — exactly where he asked to be buried. Your guide brings Gibran's life and philosophy to life in the place where it all began.

Cedars of God — guided hike through a UNESCO-protected grove
A one-hour guided hike through the Cedars of God at 2,000 metres above sea level — a UNESCO-protected grove where some trees exceed 1,000 years and trunks measure more than 14 metres in circumference. These are the descendants of the forests that built Phoenician ships, Solomon's Temple, and Egyptian palaces. Easy terrain, marked trail, suitable for all fitness levels. Your guide covers the ecology, the mythology, and the conservation story of Lebanon's most emblematic tree.

دير قزحيا
Kozhaya Monastery — first printing press in the Middle East
Descend into the Qadisha Valley for the day's final stop — the Monastery of Saint Anthony of Kozhaya, founded in the 12th century and carved directly into the limestone cliff face of the valley wall. Cave chapels, ancient stone cells, and the quiet of the gorge. Inside: a pilgrimage cave active for over eight centuries, and the first printing press ever used in the Middle East — brought here by Maronite monks in the 16th century to print liturgical texts in Arabic and Syriac. Your guide connects Kozhaya's printing press story to the broader history of knowledge and faith in the Levant.
