Where Dante Alighieri once lived now stands a museum dedicated to him. I will explain Dante’s role as the father of the Italian language and his exile from Florence.

You will visit the ground-floor courtyard of Palazzo Vecchio, with Renaissance frescoes painted for the Medici family, who once resided in the palace.

You will admire the majestic Renaissance statues that still decorate the square and the Loggia dei Lanzi, as well as the elegant façade of Palazzo Vecchio.

You will learn the history of the building that today houses the most famous painting gallery in Italy, and one of the most important in the world: the Uffizi Gallery.

Facing the Arno River, you will admire the Ponte Vecchio, the Vasari Corridor, the façade of the Uffizi, and Piazzale Michelangelo.
