برج جسر المدينة القديمة
The Old Town Bridge Tower was built together with the Charles Bridge in the 14th Century and is considered one of the most beautiful Gothic structures in the world. It was originally created as a triumphal arch on the Royal Route and its function was primarily aesthetic. The whole tower is characterised by rich figural and ornamental sculptural decoration. From the 47-metre-high lookout point, you can see not only the historical centre of Prague, but also the Lesser Town Bridge Tower on the opposite end of the bridge.
TIP: While you’re in the area, don’t miss the nearby Church of the Holy Saviour.

برج جسر المدينة الصغرى
The Lesser Town Bridge Towers are characterised by rare Gothic architecture and dates from the 15th Century. The tower originally served a defensive function, but today it is open to the public, including the gallery at a height of 26 metres. It offers beautiful views of the Vltava River and the historic centre of Prague.
The higher bridge tower was built after 1464 at the expense of George of Poděbrady on the site of an older Romanesque tower. Its form follows up on the concept of Parléř’s Old Town Bridge Tower. The building material consists of large sandstone blocks. Niches were built into the tower, for which monumental statues were probably planned but were never carried out. The tower underwent extensive repairs from 1874 to 1879 under the direction of architect Joseph Mocker.
TIP: While you’re in the area, don’t miss nearly Kampa Island and the Čertovka Canal.

St Nicholas Bell Tower
The St Nicholas Bell Tower is immediately adjacent to the church of the same name and was built in Baroque style in the 18th Century. The bell served as a fire alarm. The observation deck is located at a height of 65 metres and is thus one of the highest in Prague.
In 1891, the last town crier, whose function was to ring the bell in case of fire and to show the direction of the fire from the window with a red ribbon (or a lantern at night), moved out. Afterwards, it was occupied by painter Jan Vochoč. From the beginning of the 1950s until the fall of the communist regime, the State Security Agency maintained a observation post in the tower from which they chiefly monitored movements at the embassies of Western countries.
TIP: While you’re in the area, don’t miss the nearby Kampa Island and the Lennon Wall.

This technically flawless tower is 63.5 metres high and the public observation deck, which offers a unique view of the main landmarks of Prague, is at a height of 55 metres. The neo-Renaissance cellar of the building houses an exhibition dedicated to the urban transformations of the surrounding area.
Don’t lose time on your journey towards experiences and enjoy maximum comfort! With the Prague Visitor Pass you receive an elevator ticket for free. Please note that the maximum capacity of the elevator is 3 people. For larger groups, there may be a long waiting time and we recommend using the stairs. The Mirror Maze on Petřín Hill is a Neo-Gothic building constructed at the end of the 19th Century as an entertainment pavilion. Today it houses a labyrinth and a hall of mirrors. This popular destination for families with children can be found near the Petřín Lookout Tower.
In addition to the maze in the pavilion, there is also a large painting with a three-dimensional foreground that depicts the battle between Prague residents and Swedish soldiers on Charles Bridge in 1648, known as the defence of the Old Town Bridge Tower. The painting measures 80 square metres and it is interesting to see what the left bank of the Vltava River looked like in the mid-17th Century.

It used to serve as a water reservoir; today it is home to an exhibition about Prague’s firefighters. The observation deck offers a beautiful view of the Vltava River and the wider centre of Prague.
The exhibition’s concept makes maximum use of the possibilities of multimedia. Winternitzova Vila (villa Winternitz)
Winternitz's villa is one of the exceptional buildings of interwar architecture in the Czech Republic, and it is the last villa of Adolf Loos, which was built during his lifetime. Prague lawyer JUDr. Josef Winternitz had the villa built in 1932 for himself and his family. Due to their Jewish origin, they were confiscated by the Nazi authorities in 1941, and Josef Winternitz and his son Peter were murdered in the Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz. Wife Jenny and daughter Suzanne survived the concentration camp, but never returned to the villa. During the rule of the communist regime, the villa housed a kindergarten, and after the Velvet Revolution, it was returned to the descendants of the original owners as part of restitution. They reconstructed the villa to its original state at their own expense and opened it to the public in 2017.

The Bílek Villa was built in the early 20th Century in Symbolist style using the language of Art Nouveau architecture. Its architect was an important sculptor and graphic artist, after whom the villa is named. Inside we find authentically preserved interiors together with a studio and gallery.
The whole project was permeated by the idea of a grain field - the floorplan of the building represents the trace of a scythe in a grain field, the stone columns were stylised stalks and ears and the field was symbolized by the flat roof of the building - the first of its kind in Prague. This primary concept also pervaded the interior on the carved doors and wrought door handles.
