Meeting point: In front of the Astronomical Clock on the Old Town Hall at Old Town Square.

At Mariánské Square, you will see the historic New Town Hall building, which today serves as the seat of Prague City Hall. The façade of the building contains sculptural decorations by Czech sculptor Ladislav Šaloun, including figures connected to Prague’s history, such as Rabbi Judah Loew, the legendary rabbi associated with the story of the Golem.

You will see the Maisel Synagogue, a historic synagogue in Prague’s Jewish Quarter connected with the important Jewish leader and benefactor Mordechai Maisel.

At the Pinkas Synagogue, you will learn about its role as a Holocaust Memorial dedicated to the Jewish victims from the Czech lands.

You will see the Old Jewish Cemetery, one of the oldest Jewish cemeteries in Europe and an important historic site of Prague’s Jewish Quarter.

You will see the Klausen Synagogue, one of the historic synagogues of Prague’s Jewish Quarter located next to the Old Jewish Cemetery.

You will see the Old–New Synagogue, the oldest active synagogue in Europe and one of the most important landmarks of Prague’s Jewish Quarter.

You will see one of the most beautiful synagogues in Prague, famous for its richly decorated Moorish Revival architecture.

According to local legends connected with the court of Emperor Rudolf II, alchemy and mysticism were part of Prague’s intellectual life during the time of Rabbi Löw. The tour ends near the house traditionally associated with him, where the Museum of Alchemists is located today.

At the Franz Kafka Statue near the Spanish Synagogue, you will see a monument to the famous Prague-born writer.
