Strongly recommended for guests age 10+, The Pirate Escape Scavenger Hunt will take you back in time to the Golden Age of Piracy along the Carolina Coastline. Two local historians have designed an immersive experience like no other scavenger hunts currently offered in Charleston.
Guests will start at the Fireproof Museum where admittance is included. Using the provided packet guests will follow a themed escape of Pirates during the Pirate Siege of Charles Towne in 1718. The Fireproof Museum is at the corner of Chalmers Street and Meeting Street. The guest entrance is the one off Meeting Street (100 Meeting Street). Enter the Fireproof Building and show the booking voucher to the staff. The closest public parking garage is 2 blocks away at the "Cumberland Garage."

The Pirate Escape is best suited for those ages 10+. Guests will have free entrance to the oldest Fireproof building in the United States as part of the Scavenger Hunt to start the experience! From there guests will find as part of the tour several other historic locations and items to complete the "escape." This self-guided experience covers about a mile and a half of the most historic district in Charleston.
