The Pantheon stands as one of the best-preserved monuments of ancient Rome and a true marvel of architecture. Initially constructed by Marcus Agrippa in 27 BC, it was later rebuilt by Emperor Hadrian around 125 AD after a fire destroyed the original structure. Dedicated to all the Roman gods, the Pantheon features a vast, unreinforced concrete dome with a central oculus that opens to the sky. This incredible dome remains the largest of its kind in the world and continues to inspire awe after nearly two millennia.
