Travel through southern Israel via the Judean Hills, passing the historic Inn of the Good Samaritan. Pause at sea level for a memorable photo opportunity before descending to the iconic Dead Sea. Our first major stop is Masada, where a cable car takes us to the summit to explore the ancient fortress built by King Herod over 2,000 years ago, including its palaces and bathhouse. We then continue past the lush desert oasis of Ein Gedi and the archaeological site of Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered.
