Visit gentoo penguins on a pristine beach during our 5-hour tour. A bit over an hour’s drive from Stanley, Bertha’s Beach will welcome us with its white sands and crystal clear water. The area has been recognized as a wetland site of international importance under the Ramsar Convention. Bertha herself was a ship that didn’t make it, and got wrecked by the shore, losing its precious cargo – planks of cedar wood, scattered on the beach to this day (you will notice there are almost no trees in the Falklands). We will visit the colony of Gentoo penguins - noisy, but fascinating creatures. Lunch on the beach or in the car, your choice, might be a bit windy there. Afterwards we will travel back...
