Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubeshi

Distance: Approximately 122 km
Driving time: Around 7–9 hours, depending on road and traffic conditions
Route: Kathmandu → Trishuli → Dhunche → Syabrubesi
Road type: A mix of paved highways and rough mountain roads, with some bumpy sections
Enjoy scenic views of lush hills, terraced farms, rivers, waterfalls, and traditional villages
The journey follows the beautiful Trishuli River for much of the drive
Passes through Dhunche, the administrative headquarters of Rasuwa District
Several roadside restaurants and tea houses are available for meals and refreshments
Private jeeps offer the most comfortable journey, while local buses are available for budget travelers
Syabrubesi (1,460 m) is the main gateway to the Langtang Valley Trek, with comfortable lodges, tea houses, shops, and last-minute trekking supplies.
