الجسر الطبيعي
A natural bridge is a distinct geological feature where a solid rock formation spans an open space, creating a natural arch.
How Natural Bridges Form
Unlike sea arches or wind-sculpted arches, true natural bridges are defined by the action of moving water
Water Erosion: A flowing river or stream slowly carves a path through a bedrock wall.
Perforation: Over millennia, water finds a weak point or fracture in the rock, breaking through to create a small hole.
Enlargement: The stream continuously flows through this opening, widening it via physical friction and chemical weathering.
The Result: The water eventually abandons its old, looping path to flow directly under the newly formed rock bridge.

Lake Louise is a world-famous alpine lake located in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada, widely celebrated as the "Jewel of the Canadian Rockies". It sits at a high elevation of 1,731 metres (5,680 feet) and is framed by steep mountain peaks, thick spruce forests, and the massive Victoria Glacier looming directly behind it.
In 1884, the Geographic Board of Canada officially changed the name to Lake Louise.
It was named in honour of Princess Louise Caroline Alberta, the fourth daughter of Queen Victoria and the wife of the Marquess of Lorne, who was serving as Canada’s Governor General.
Long before European settlers arrived, the lake and the surrounding Bow Valley were home to Indigenous peoples, primarily the Îyârhe Nakoda (Stoney Nakoda).
The Stoney Nakoda called the water Horâ Juthin Îmne (or Ho-run-num-nay), which translates to "Lake of the Little Fishes". This named referenced the small fish that survived in the frigid, nutrient-poor glacial waters.

Johnston Canyon offers an immersive, sensory-rich experience that looks almost too perfect to be natural. The trail’s main highlights include the Lower Falls, Upper Falls, the Ink Pots, and a series of seven distinct waterfalls. However, the true highlight is the network of cliff-hanging catwalks. Cantilevered directly over the canyon walls, these walkways offer a thrilling, front-row seat to the rushing waters below.
