We will leave DA Gaeta, admiring the Aragonese Castle overlooking the sea. We will head to Monte Orlando Regional Park, a place that offers amazing and enchanting scenery. Unforgettable the glimpse of the cliffs, walls more than 80 meters high, which run overhanging the sea and the imposing and suggestive "Cave of the Turk". At the extreme point of the promontory awaits us the Sanctuary of the Split Mountain. On the opposite side of the beach of Serapo from the promontory of the Sanctuary, a sort of islet-rock is clearly visible, renamed by the locals "the ship". The origin of the name, “Cala dei 40 ormi” is not certain: for some the number represents the amount of oar strokes needed to get there. For others it is the measurement of the place carried out, precisely, in units of “oars”. It is still a beautiful and unique place to take a nice refreshing bath along our itinerary!
