Following Hokusai’s Path: Passion for Waves

Even if you don’t know the name Katsushika Hokusai, you have probably seen his famous masterpiece The Great Wave off Kanagawa.
While I am not an art historian, I deeply admire Katsushika Hokusai. I would love to share the Sumida area where he spent much of his life and explore the places connected to his story together.
On this tour, you will also learn about the Edo period when Hokusai lived and Japanese sumo culture, Japan’s national sport.

You can immerse yourself in Hokusai’s life and art, and also have a chance to buy exclusive museum goods. Your guide will accompany you to the museum, but guided explanations inside are not permitted. Please enjoy the exhibits at your own pace. English descriptions are available
