براسات إيك بنوم
Ek Phnom Temple, originally called Çri Suryavarmesvara temple, was constructed in 11th century during the reign of King Suryavarman I who rule the empire from 1006 to 1050 AD and was dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, serving as a regional center of worship and administration. Though partly collapsed and looted, its grandeur endures in the exquisite detail of its well-carved lintels and pediments.
Centuries later, in the early 20th century under the French Protectorate, the site was "rediscovered" and studied. In 1907, a significant archaeological discovery was made nearby: the "Ek Phnom Buddha," a large, exquisitely carved stone statue of the Buddha sheltered by the naga Mucalinda. This masterpiece, now housed in the Battambang Provincial Museum, underscored the site's enduring spiritual importance. In 1757, a modern Buddhist pagoda (wat) was constructed next to the ancient ruins, re-sanctifying the location as a living place of worship for the local community.

(براسات بانان في باتامبانغ).
The history of Banon Temple, or Prasat Phnom Banon, means Banon Mountain Temple, by the local, is a tale of two great Khmer kings. Construction began in 1057 AD under the reign of King Udayadityavarman II, who rule the empire from 1050 to 1066, the same ruler who built the massive West Baray at Angkor, in Siem Reap. However, the temple was not completed until nearly a century later, under the famous King Jayavarman VII, who came in power from 1181 to 1219, the Buddhist king who introduced the "Bayon style" of architecture.
Interestingly, while the later king was a Buddhist, the original temple was dedicated to Hinduism, God Shiva. This has led historians to believe that the site represents a unique religious compromise, blending Buddhist iconography with Hindu architectural roots. The temple was documented in the West by the French explorer Henri Mouhot (the discoverer of Angkor) in 1858, who noted the presence of massive Buddha statues and giant guardian figures at the entrance.

كهوف الخفافيش في باتامبانج
The Battambang Bat Cave, located at Phnom Sampeau (also spelled Sampov) mountain, offers one of Cambodia's most unexpected natural spectacles: the mass exodus of over a million bats at dusk. Located about 12 km southwest of Battambang city.
The Spectacle
As the sun sets (around 5:30 PM), millions of wrinkle-lipped bats emerge from a cavern high on the limestone cliff face. The continuous river of bats can last for 30 to 45 minutes as they spiral into the night sky . It is completely free to watch from the base of the mountain.
