We will explore the gardens and grounds of Dublin Castle. We will see the mixture of Georgian architecture, a neo-Gothic style church and a medieval tower. For over 700 years, the castle was the seat of British power in Ireland.

We will visit the Christ Church Cathedral grounds and learn all about Viking Dublin. This church is located in the heart of the ancient medieval city and holds many fascinating facts and stories.

Between 1974 and 1981, archaeologists excavated what turned out to be the largest Viking settlement discovered outside Scandinavia. Controversies and protest movements arose to save the site.
