Take part in the traditional process of sheep milking, cheesemaking workshop and cooking class (cretan traditional cheese pies). Later, under the shade of cherry trees and a large plane tree, the stone table is set. A traditional mountain food tasting awaits you!

Free time to relax and enjoy the fresh mountain air of the Nida Plateau, with amazing views.
Hands-on cheese-making workshop
Sheep shearing demonstration and participation
Welcome drink with traditional raki. Wine aged at the family shelter or craft beer from local producers. For our little guests we offer orange juice.
Cooking workshop (cretan traditional cheese pies)
Hands-on lamb milking experience
You can view our traditional Cretan menu, above. To request additional dishes, please contact us.
Transfer (We will be happy to help you book your transfer to/from the meeting point -for Heraklion and Rethymno visitors. Please contact us after you book your experience)

We'll meet you at the meeting point. The road leading to the meeting point is paved. From the meeting point until you reach the hut, the road becomes a mild dirt road. You either follow in your car to the hut, or you walk.

Begin your experience with a warm welcome of Cretan raki. Learn about the history of the area and the way of life, in the mountain of Psiloritis and discover the world of the Cretan shepherd.
Take part in the traditional process of cheesemaking and milking or sheep shearing, two essential parts of pastoral life in the mountains.
Join a hands-on cooking workshop, where you will prepare traditional cheese pies under the guidance of an experienced member of the family.
