There is a place in the Porto Conte Natural Park where nature and history meet at the most beautiful time of day. It is called Monte Murone, buttress of Monte Doglia, and at sunset it becomes one of the most extraordinary viewpoints in Sardinia. With local Guide Simone you will leave at 18:10. The loop trail of about 4 km is easy and suitable for everyone. Among the vegetation emerge the remains of the 103rd Murone Coastal Battery: pitches for 149/12 howitzers, underground bunkers, underground walkways and shelters for soldiers. Enter in the navigator "Battery Monte Murone", once you drive along the nearby road arenosu you will find on the right two single-level houses in front of the ruins. That will be the meeting point.
