It’s a peaceful stop perfect for photos, short walks along the shore, and taking in the raw beauty of the Canadian Rockies.

Tangle Creek Falls in summer is a refreshing alpine waterfall fed by snowmelt, flowing powerfully down rocky cliffs surrounded by lush mountain scenery. It’s an easy roadside stop, perfect for quick photos, a short walk, and enjoying the cool mist on a warm day.

Enjoy a picnic meal at one of the scenic spots along the shoreline and keep an eye out for local wildlife, including mountain goats and deer.

Peyto Lake is one of the most iconic lakes in the Canadian Rockies, famous for its unreal turquoise color and unique wolf-shaped form. From the scenic viewpoint, the lake opens up like a natural masterpiece, surrounded by glaciers, rugged peaks, and endless alpine wilderness. In summer, the vibrant color created by glacial rock flour is at its brightest, making Peyto Lake a breathtaking stop and a must-see highlight of any Rockies journey.

Crowfoot Glacier is a striking glacier visible directly from the Icefields Parkway. Once shaped like a crow’s foot, it has slowly retreated over time, offering a powerful reminder of climate change.
