This tour covers four to five kilometres, with regular stops for stories and photos. At carefully selected local venues taste authentic Portuguese petiscos, traditional small plates made for sharing, and learn how Albufeira grew from a fishing community into one of the Algarve’s best-known destinations. Depending on your chosen option, enjoy 8 petiscos at 2 venues or 12 petiscos at 3 venues.

Meet your guide at Pau da Bandeira Viewpoint, overlooking Old Town Fishermen’s Beach.
Your guide will be waiting beside the yellow “DAE” emergency station, wearing or carrying an item displaying the orange Smart Traveller logo.

Meet your local guide at Pau da Bandeira Viewpoint, where the experience begins with views over Fishermen’s Beach and Albufeira Old Town. Walk at a relaxed pace through the former castle citadel, pedestrian streets and historic centre, stopping at panoramic viewpoints for stories, local legends and photographs.
During the tour, visit two or three carefully selected local venues, depending on your chosen option, and taste eight or twelve traditional Portuguese petiscos. Water is included at the tasting venues, other drinks may be purchased separately.
