“Yachimun” means pottery in the Okinawan language. About 300 years ago, during the Ryukyu Kingdom era, pottery kilns from different areas were gathered in this district. Since then, Tsuboya has continued to be known as Naha’s traditional pottery area. By bicycle, we will also ride through narrow nostalgic streets that are difficult to explore by car or on a regular sightseeing route.

We will pass near Asato Shotengai, an area once known as one of Naha’s nightlife districts. Today, it becomes lively in the evening with izakayas, local restaurants, and small bars. It may be a great place to return to after the tour for dinner or drinks.

Ride through quiet residential areas where a few traditional houses still remain. As you pass through these local streets, you will get a glimpse of Okinawa’s everyday atmosphere and feel the slower rhythm of local life.

Explore the historic town of Shuri, once the capital of the Ryukyu Kingdom. As we ride through cobblestone streets, temples, sacred sites, and old neighborhoods, you will experience the cultural depth and spiritual traditions that shaped Okinawa.

We will leisurely pass through the peaceful area around Shuri Castle Park. Enjoy the seasonal plants, stone walls, and the iconic Shureimon Gate, one of Okinawa’s most photogenic historical landmarks.

Our local guide will take you to a scenic viewpoint where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Naha City. It is a highly recommended photo spot and a memorable way to see the city from a different perspective.
