After a short briefing, begin the scenic drive through Rwanda’s rolling hills toward the Cyanika border. Border formalities are usually straightforward and assisted by your guide. Continue into southern Uganda, driving through terraced landscapes and rural communities before arriving in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the afternoon. Check in to your lodge, enjoy lunch or refreshments, and spend the rest of the day relaxing and preparing for your first gorilla trek.
