Your adventure begins in Underberg, where you meet your guide and transfer into a specially equipped 4×4 vehicle for the journey into Lesotho. Travelling through Himeville and the UNESCO-listed uKhahlamba-Drakensberg Park, you'll follow the scenic Sani Valley and Mkomazana River towards the legendary Sani Pass. As you ascend South Africa's highest mountain pass, dramatic cliffs, winding switchbacks, and breathtaking mountain scenery unfold around every corner. After crossing into Lesotho, enjoy lunch at Sani Mountain Lodge, home to the famous Highest Pub in Africa (subject to availability). The journey continues deeper into the highlands, including a visit to Black Mountain Pass, one of the highest drivable points in Southern Africa, with spectacular views towards Thabana Ntlenyana. Later, visit a traditional Basotho village to learn about local customs, culture, and daily life before continuing through remote mountain settlements to your overnight accommodation.
