Argolis is a historic region in the northeastern Peloponnese of Greece, known as one of the most important centers of ancient Greek civilization. It blends dramatic landscapes, fertile plains, seaside towns, and some of Greece’s most legendary archaeological sites.
TOUR HIGHLIGHTS Mycenae: See ancient Greek remains and the tomb of Agamemnon in Mycenae Nafplio: Nafplio’s architecture reflects centuries of Venetian, Ottoman, and Greek influence. It played a central role in the Greek War of Independence and became the seat of government under Ioannis Kapodistrias.

After an early morning pick up from your hotel in Athens, we depart via the coastal national highway for the Corinth Canal (short stop).

Archaeological Site Mycenae
Drive to Mycenae and visit the archaeological site, home to the kingdom of mythical Agamemnon. Visit the Palace, the Lionesses Gate and the tomb of Agamemnon. Before we make a stop for lunch (not included), we may optionally visit a pottery factory.

Nafplio
After lunch, driving through Argos, we proceed to Nauplia, the first capital of modern Greece, with its Venetian fortress of Palamidi and the fortified islet of Bourtzi (short stop). You will be dropped off in the centre of Nafplio where you can enjoy some free time before making your way to the hotel.
