Day one points west to Giza, about 3 hours from Port Said, where the Great Pyramid of Khufu rises from 2.3 million stone blocks that have held their place for 4,500 years. You walk the plateau with your Egyptologist, stop at the panoramic point where all three pyramids line up, and meet the Great Sphinx. In the afternoon, the Egyptian Museum and its halls of pharaonic treasure. Optional: enter the Great Pyramid ($11 USD per person), or a camel ride along the ridge (about $15 USD).
