The Nordkette journey is one of the most remarkable in the Alps, beginning underground in the Old Town aboard the Hungerburgbahn. From Hungerburg, the Seegrubenbahn cable car sweeps you up the mountain face to the Seegrube at 1,905 metres, where a sun terrace and restaurant look out over the whole city. The final Hafelekarbahn then lifts you to the ridge of the Karwendel — Austria's largest nature park — where a short summit path ends at the Hafelekarspitze, 2,334 metres: the Top of Innsbruck.
