Arusun is no ordinary tour boat. She is a 60-foot Formula II Ocean Racing Catamaran designed by Rod McAlpine-Downie and built in 1984–1985 for serious ocean sailing. In 1989, Dutch sailor Henk de Velde took her—then named Alisun J&B—on a solo around-the-world record attempt, completing the journey in 158 days. Today, Arusun is proudly operated by Aruba Watersports Center, a family-owned and operated company where personal attention and Caribbean hospitality are at the heart of the experience.
